Our insurance comparison service is free and there is no charge for you to use this service. We receive a fee and/or commission from the third-party product or service providers when you use our service to purchase travel insurance or other products/services from them. Please be aware that we do not provide financial or insurance advice or a recommendation or endorsement in respect of any product or service referred to on this Website. JAD Marketing Ltd. trading as Ucompare is a member of the Investor Compensation scheme established under the Investor Compensation act 1988, which provides certain remedies to eligible clients on default by us.
The right to compensation will arise only:
When an entitlement to compensation is established, the compensation payable will be the lesser of 90% of your loss which is recognised for the purposes of the Investor Compensation Act 1988 or Eur 20,000. Your legal rights against JAD Marketing Ltd. T/A Ucompare are not affected by this scheme.
Unless we tell otherwise before you use our services, JAD Marketing Ltd. T/A Ucompare receives referral fee from insurance product producers with whom we provide an online mediation facility.
Referral Fee charged for various products are listed below:
Travel insurance: Maximum referral fee charged is 20%
Gadget insurance: Maximum referral fee charged is 20%
Bike Insurance: Maximum referral fee charged is 20%
Car hire Excess insurance: Maximum referral fee charged is 20%
Life insurance, Mortgage Protection and serious illness protection cover: These insurance products are provided by PAX Financial Planning.
Maximum referral fee is 100% of the premium paid. If the client terminates their policy within first 2 years, this might result in product provider seeking to “clawback” some or all of the referral fee paid.
We will try to resolve all the complaints within 5 working days. In the event where we are unable to resolve your complaint within 5 workings days, we will then go to our full complaints procedure and your complaint will be acknowledged in writing. Full complaint procedure is summarised below. Each complaint will be acknowledged by us within 5 working days of receipt and updates will be advised in intervals of no more than 20 working days. We will try our best to resolve the complaint within 40 business days and findings will be furnished to you within 5 working days of completion of the investigation. In the event that you are not satisfied with the firms response to your complaint you may wish to direct your complaint to the Financial Services Ombudsman, 3rd Floor, Lincoln House, Lincoln Place, Dublin 2. Our full complaints procedure is also available on request.
In the event of a dispute in connection with any product or services provided on this website or arising out of these terms of use, Irish law will apply.
If any provisions of these Terms of use are held by a competent authority in Ireland to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions and will remain valid.
